Steve Bzomowski, Boston NTL (1992-present) No longer in his 40's. No longer quite 5'9 3/4" tall. Founder and Chief Head Honcho at NTL was an assistant mens' basketball coach at Harvard University from 1984-1991. Part-time scout for the newly minted Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA after leaving Harvard. Previous to his college and pro experiences he was a junior high school and high school English teacher and boys' basketball coach in the Greater Boston area. Played his basketball at Shaker High School in Albany, NY and (briefly) collegiately at Fordham University in NYC. In 1994 made three hundred (300) free throws in ten (10) minutes at a charity fundraiser. That was impressive. In addition to coaching a ton of basketball, he plays lots of hoops and can even be seen setting blistering (especially around the big toe) times in local road races. He seems to enjoy helping individuals improve their basketball skills. When people get better at something, it makes them happier. Maybe that's why he coaches; likes being around happy people. |

Chris Grancio, Portland, OR NTL (Boston NTL and coast-to-coast Weekend Camps, 1997-present) No longer in his 20's. 6'8". Another Harvard grad. Was a very good player there. Once scored 24 points versus Princeton (in one game)! Pretty good! Played two years in Europe after college. Appreciated among NTL players for his seriousness (well, semi-) and honest player assessments. (Although why are so many NTLers switching to golf?) Big guy with a big heart and a love for teaching the game. |

Elizabeth Doran, Boston NTL (2007-) Co-founder of the six am Warm Weather Women's Boot Camp (Men Invited). Four-year starter and captain of the womens' hoops' team at the University of Rochester. She's fit and fun and her infectious spirit will run through you and make your muscles big and strong and twitch super-fast! Can be seen knocking down l o n g threes at various co-ed leagues around Boston (including PFL). A certified massage therapist. (Is there a discount for NTL players?) |

Steve Fagan, NYC NTL (2002-present) All-New York City in high school. Season and single-game assist record holder at ultra-competitive Div II Pace University, he guided them to back-to-back NCAA Sweet Sixteen finishes. Ask him about the Jersey Shore Summer pro league. Ask him about the best player he's ever played with and against. Ask him to help you with your shot, your court vision, and where the best pizza place in Little Italy is. One player in NY told us that Fagan has the ability to "teach the minutiae of the game". Want minutiae? Go see Fagan now! |

Chris Balliro, Boston NTL and NTL Weekend Camp (2006-present) All-Massachusetts as a high school senior, 6'7" small forward, Chris went on to star (career 983 points) at Stony Brook where he played for the legendary coach, Nick Macarchuk. He then took his hoop skills overseas and has settled in nicely in the Italian pro league. How do you say "another three points" in Italian? Whatvever it is, Chris surely knows. His foreign playing experience has translated to fresh basketball insight for the NTL players he's coached. |

Greg Tonagel, NTL Lakeside, MI Weekend Camps (2003-present) Coach Tonagel's got the basketball pedigree and resume that we dream about. All-Indiana, played in the heralded Indiana-Kentucky All-Star game (12 chosen from each state), and took his Laporte HS team to the ISHAA state finals in his senior year. A four year starter at Valparaiso, he was a two-time captain and played in four NCAA tournaments for the Crusaders - four March Madnesses!!!! Now head coach at NAIA Indiana Wesleyan University IWU Mens' Basketball, Greg was named the MCC Coach of the Year in his first year as the Wildcats doubled their win total. Keep an eye on this rising coaching star and come to the NTL Michigan Camp to play what he's coaching. A great, great guy who is dedicated to teaching the game. |

James White, Boston NTL (1996-present) James made his way from tiny Hopkinton, KY where he went to high school with 49 other students 25 of whom were on the basketball team and 25 of whom were cheerleaders. When they had a road game, the school shut down. Ask James how his high school coach got players from England, Spain, Venezuela. Man, they'll do anything to recruit and win in Kentucky. James was a two-year starter at Harvard, where he once went off on Big East Boston College for 24 points. Former dunking phenom. NTL players respond to his thoroughness in practices and his willingness to stick with you until you get it right! |

Jon Wheeler, SF NTL (2004-05) Jon Wheeler - "Wheels" to those on the inside - is a California kind of coach. What does that mean? I have no idea, but if you look at where he played and where he coached, you begin to see more than just a connection between The Golden State and our boy "Wheels". He played at Cal - 6'7" starting forward - then played overseas in France and Australia, then returned home to coach first at Cal (CA), then at Pepperdine (CA), UC Davis (CA), UC Santa Barbara (CA) and then back at his alma mater, Cal, (CA). Is he on some kind of court order to not leave the state? Between questions on how to do the drop-step and other moves properly and effectively, you'll have to ask him that. |

Leslie Davis, Boston NTL (2002-04), 5'4" (in thick socks) Talk about "joie de vivre"! Well, you'll have to meet Leslie to find out for yourself. Leslie turned the NTL basketball world on its head beginning last summer when she helped direct the second annual NTL All-Women's Weekend Camp. Next, she became the first woman coach of the all-women's weekly practice programs in Boston. Regarded as one of New England's top coaches, she was head coach at storied Matignon HS for seven seasons and, more recently, she has guided the famed Lady Falcons of Cambridge Rindge & Latin HS to the state tournament in each her first three campaigns. With her fresh and personal approach, she's already made the NTL coaching staff better, and she'll make each player she comes in contact with a better player, too. |

Adam Pritchard, Boston NTL (1999-present) The Belmont (Mass.) HS Marauders boys' basketball coach's teams play with creativity, wild intensity and near reckless abandon. And it works. They are a "team to watch" in 2007, expecting to contend for the state ttle. Adam is also former executive director of the critically acclaimed but now defunct Beantown Pro-Am Basketball League which attracted local NBA and top flight collegiate talent. This Renaissance Man has a beating basketball heart. |

Wally Halas, NYC NTL, 5'9" (tops) I mean, where do we start? Ok, with his brilliant four year playing career at DIII Clark University where he scored 1448 points and was voted the Bob Cousy Award for New England's "top" player under 6 feet tall. Next, sixteen years as college head coach at Clark and DI Columbia University raking in 251 wins! Whoa! Wally is now the Commissioner of the World-Scholar Athlete Games, which has participants from over 108 countries and all 50 states. How did we get so lucky? Players of all abilities in Brooklyn and Manhattan (and, soon, Westchester County) clamor for Wally to coach them because of his ability to explain and demonstrate, his patience, and "joie de hoops vivre" and the overall sense that they are in the presence of a true "basketball dude". |
