Beginner/Novice Practice Groups - Claire Kozower, Somerville, MA; Intermediate Practice Groups - David Schrag, Brighton, MA; Advanced Practice Groups - Ken Troop, Arlington, MA What's New: NYC NTL Pure Stroke Shooting Clinic Shooting, Sundays in The Village Learn to shoot like Ray Allen, Steve Fagan, Annie Oakley. 5-on-5 Clinic, Sundays in The Village A basketball orgy where the emphasis is on playing the game together. What's New: SF NTL Level One, Ballhandling & Shooting The fundamentals of ballhandling and shooting still escaping you? Not quite comfortable not looking at the ball when dribbling? Are you still lefthand phobic, spinning around and around with that right hand dribble, only going right, your dirty little basketball secret? And your layup: have you missed one lately? Get the confidence you need on all your shots by practicing and adjusting and then applying what you have practiced in our practice-ending forty-five minute scrimmage. Level Two, Ballhandling & Shooting You handle the ball pretty well (when alone), but lack confidence when there is defense nearby. You have one move that works, but you know that is not enough. You would like to understand the footwork and the secrets behind the more advanced moves. Furthermore, you want your shot to be better, you want to be a threat, you want someone to say "guard him, (guard her), he's a shooter (and so is she)". The ball will become an extension of you, the hoop your best friend. What's New: General NTL Practice Make-up Policy If you sign-up for a Tuesday night program, say, (or some other night) and can't make practice, please give the NTL office a call to see when during the term you can make-up that practice. We want players to play! However, we are trying to discourage the "practice" of making up practices from one term to the next. If you sign-up for the fall, please try to get all the NTL hoop you can during that term. We introduce different offenses, defenses and drills each term and try to cultivate a sense of "team". |
