Ten Weeks! Click here to sign up for NYC NTL Programs Online! NEW! - Read Reviews of NTL Programs! Sunday beginning 04/13/08 Ballhandling and Shooting Clinic (10 weeks, $230) Even though in a game of 10 players you only have the ball approximately 10% of the time, that time is very important. You need to be able to protect the ball; you need the skills to move the ball by passing, thereby moving the defense/making them work; you can dribble to score or set-up teammates; and you can put the ball in the hole (and be carried off the floor on the shoulders of jubilant teammates and adoring fans)! Fagan 9-10:30am Greenwich Village School Coached Scrimmage Clinic (NEW!) Two teams, Two Coaches! (10 weeks; $270) NEW! SOLD OUT!!! Two coaches, two teams selected at the beginning of the ten weeks. Teams and coaches stay together the whole ten weeks. Coaches put in their offenses and defenses, strategies, pre-game warm-ups. Time-outs, huddles, situational play: all just like a real game. Rah! Rah! Hey, you might even get benched if you mess-up! Is that fun? (Open to hi-Novice through Advanced.) Fagan, Halas 10:30am-Noon Greenwich Village School Monday beginning 04/07/08 Beginner/Novice Skills & Scrimmage (10 weeks, $230) -- Click here to read reviews! Basketball is a game of fundamentals, the accumulation of a hundred and more small things that put together make for an effective team player possessing effective individual skills. Here we practice just like a college team would: one-third of the time on individual skills, one-third on team play skills and one-third in a coach controlled scrimmage where we apply the knowledge and skills we worked on in the drills and present as close to a game situation, to make us game-ready, as possible. This is a great clinic, the clinic that has anchored NTL in NYC for fourteen years! Fagan 7-8:30pm Bishop Ford High School Intermediate/Advanced Skills & Scrimmage (10 weeks, $230) -- Click here to read reviews! The NTL in NYC Clinic that most closely resembles a true college basketball practice. You even get a coach who gets frustrated and YELLS at the players in disgust! (As well he should when the ball gets turned over and fundamentals are forgotten.) But the spirit is there. The competitiveness is there and enough intelligence and knowledge to know when to step back and focus, once again, on the basics as a way to move forward. Every Monday is a very fun and interesting session! Fagan 8:30-10pm Bishop Ford High School |
